This project, undertaken by Gateshead Metropolitan Borough Council, saw the replacement of 140w Cosmopolis light sources for an LED alternative while preserving all compatibility with the current CMS system.

The project brief was not only looking at energy saving, but also took a view to re-establish the Team valley Trading Estate as the industrial epicentre of the North East.

90w Version 1 Luminaire’s now stand in place of the former, bringing the overall wattage of the estate down by over 15,000 watts. The light engine specified was designed to remain sympathetic to its predecessor, with an 85+ CRI and 3800K CCT.

Inventronics 0-10V Dimmable Drivers were also specified to correctly operate the light engine, whilst remaining fully compatible with GMBC’s Harvard eng. Central management system.
