The North and Mid Wales Trunk Road Agent (NMWTRA) caters for the management, maintenance and improvement of all strategic routes via the Welsh Government. Vision Illumination received award of 2 stages of the trunk road network.
Stage 1 of the award involved retrofitting lanterns designed for 250w sodium light sources, providing a gear tray which would incorporate a 120w LED Lumen package, carry sufficient thermal management to ensure the LED’s could operate to their full potential lifespan and be cross compatible with the already installed Telensa PLANet CMS system.
Stage 2 brief was to design a scheme which incorporated the newly constructed Mold bypass, as well as upgrading current fixtures along the A494. Vision designed and supplied the full scheme using Valiant LED Luminaires, which also featured LED Drivers which were cross compatible with the PLANet CMS system to ensure the lanterns could be controlled remotely and met current customer specifications.
